Ceremony: Consecration of a Sacred Tool

This is an example of a ritual that can be adapted according to the tool to bless and to activate. Use the elements that suit you. This ritual can be as simple as elaborate as you desire.

Purpose of the Ceremony

Establish a healthy relationship / connection with the oracle / therapeutic tool / power object. In this example, it’s the tarot. Honor our oracle and clarify our intentions.

This ceremony can be as simple as elaborate as you want it to be. What matters is that your intentions regarding the oracle / the therapeutic tool / the object of power are clear so that it is activated and oriented according to your intentions.

Tools and objects used during the ceremony (some suggestions)

  • Centering decree;
  • Ritual of energy cleaning with the Merkaba;
  • Ritual of purification with sage;
  • The oracle / the therapeutic tool / the object of power;
  • A place that is sacred to you (altar, meditation room, medicine wheel, sacred place);
  • A tablecloth or carpet (optional);
  • Sage and container;
  • Feather duster;
  • Incense, according to your choices (for example: myrrh and oliban are popular);
  • Charcoal for grain incense;
  • Matches / lighter;
  • Bowl of holy water;
  • Ceremonial cup (optional) for the water you drink;
  • Semi-precious stones, salt, sand or soil;
  • Candles;
  • All symbolic objects or representative objects of your guides that you choose;
  • Ceremonial jacket (optional);
  • Your intention clearly stated (written or verbal);
  • Prayers and gratitude;
  • Offerings (herbs, incense, flowers, precious stones, shells, etc.).

  • The conscious, subconscious and superconscious;
  • The archetypes of the major arcana of the tarot (symbol of the spiritual journey of the human being);
  • The archetypes of the characters of the court of the four series of the tarot;
  • Archetypes of minor blades;
  • The numerological archetype of the tarot (major arcana and minor blades);
  • Your Angels and Guides;
  • You, all aspects of your being (body, soul and spirit);
  • Any other presence you believe appropriate.

Preparation for the Ceremony

  • Determine the best time for your ceremony;
    • Astrological influences, lunar cycles, etc.
    • Auspicious time without interruption (children, cell phones, etc.)
  • Gather your tools and objects;
  • Prepare your decrees and prayers. You can use those of the Essence-Ciel Portal as an example and customize them according to your preferences or you can create your own decrees. If you need written materials, bring your documents;
  • Wear your chosen garment, if necessary;
  • Go to your designated place for the ceremony;
  • Do your centering and energetic cleaning (see the the centering decree and purification ritual with sage and energy cleaning ritual with the merkaba);
  • Do energetic cleaning of your place of consecration and of your tools and install them according to your preferences;
  • Make sure you have a lighted candle and incense burning.

Conduct of the ceremony

  1. Call on your guides inviting them to join you for the ceremony;
    1. See accompanying decree by angels and guides;
    2. See decree of honor towards the four elements of nature;
    3. Use the same kind of decree for all your other guests.
  2. Honor all your Guides by greeting them;
  3. Face North, then salute the four directions (North, South, East, and West) as you return to each of them;
  4. Greet the Beyond (the High), the Below (the Low) and the Inside (the Heart);
  5. Stand in front of your symbolic objects and hold your Tarot in your hands;
  6. Count your cards while looking at them one by one, look at them and take each of their energy and ask that they take over yours. Make sure your Tarot is complete (78 cards);
  7. Pass your Tarot above the candle flame and pronounce the decree: I consecrate you with the element Fire;
  8. Pass your Tarot above the incense smoke and pronounce the decree: I consecrate you with the element Air;
  9. Place your Tarot on the ground and place small stones on it and pronounce the decree: I consecrate you with the element Earth;
  10. Sprinkle your Tarot with a few drops of water that you have previously blessed and pronounce the decree: I consecrate you with the element Water;
  11. Take your Tarot back in your hands, raise it to the sky, then bring it back to your heart;
  12. Recite your decree of consecration of your Tarot (see decree of consecration of the Tarot);
  13. Ask for your Tarot to be activated for work with you for the best of all;
  14. Review the cards by looking at them one by one. See yourself in exchange with your cards;
  15. When you have finished, thank the guides (see the Angels and Guides Thank You Decree);
  16. Store your tarot cards in their pocket or in their box;
  17. Collect your belongings and close your sacred place;
  18. Leave the heart filled with gratitude and love.
